I grew up south of Elsie, NE and graduated from Wheatland High School in Madrid in 1997. I attended UNL for one year, but then transferred and graduated from Doane College in Crete, NE in 2001. I went back to Doane to finish my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction in 2006. I taught my first year in Hayes Center, teaching K-12 art. I then came to Chase County Schools in 2002, taking the art reigns after the late Mary Beavers. I have enjoyed working at Chase County ever since.
I am married to J.J. Long; and we have three children to race after. Our life is never dull. We recently added our little Molly to our family. I know, I always said I wasn’t a dog person, but she has stole my heart!
