Go to the Principal’s office!

Technology can be a wonderful thing!  Chase County High School is currently in the fourth year of the one-to-one laptop program.  The administration, with support the the school board, decided to venture down a new road this year with technology.  The district purchased MacBook Pro computers for our high school students and teachers.  With the up-grade in technology our teachers have lead the charge with innovative ways to use technology and has opened the door for our students to be prepared for the 21st century.

According to the Partnership for 21st Century Skills, 2007, “the skills, knowledge and expertise students should master to succeed in work and life in the 21st century” are the following:

Core Subjects (English, reading or language arts, world languages, arts, mathematics, economics, science, geography, history, government and civics)

Learning and Innovation Skills (creativity and innovation skills, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, communication and collaboration skills)

Information, Media, and Technology Skills (information literacy, media literacy, ICT [information and communication technology] literacy)
